We are graphic and exhibition designers, fabricators and architects, media developers and creative technologists, students and educators. Each of our members brings a diverse set of expertise, but we all share a common motivation: to make the built environment more inclusive and intuitive, emotive and engaging, sustainable and shared.

Dive deep into the intersection of digital and physical experiences at this year's SEGD Branded Environments & Xlab event through interactive sessions and storytelling experiences November 2nd - 3rd, 2023 at the Museum of the Moving Image in New York City.


Branded Experiences lead the way in seamlessly integrating the digital and physical realms. As pioneers in the experience economy, our challenge is to evolve audience interaction from passive observation to immersive storytelling and active engagement, transforming them from mere viewers to dedicated fans and ultimately, brand ambassadors.


SEGD Branded Environments

SEGD Xlab

Day 2 promises an enlightening exploration at XLAB. Here, we will unravel the mysteries of emerging technologies that craft enchanting experiences. Delve into pivotal strategies for their application, and engage in thought-provoking workshops addressing the ethics, equity, and inclusion in AI, and how these can be leveraged for personalized storytelling and elevated engagement.

Julie will provide the context of her role in curating a team of internationally renowned artists, designers, and theater historians to create an interactive branded experience that highlights groundbreaking moments in Broadway’s history - the moments that pushed creative boundaries, challenged social norms, and paved the way for those who would follow. This bespoke experience captures the ethos and creativity of Broadway like no other. Julie is an entrepreneur and Tony Award-winning producer. She recently conceived and produced I'm Still Here, a 90th anniversary celebration for the Billy Rose Theatre Division at the New York Public Library for the Performing Arts, In Our America: A Concert for the Soul of the Nation and Artists for Change. She is currently a co-producer on the upcoming Broadway revival of Cabaret and Sinatra (Birmingham). Broadway credits include: A Doll's House, starring Jessica Chastain (Tony nomination), An American in Paris (Tony nomination), Carousel (Tony nomination), Company (Tony Award), Dames at Sea, Funny Girl, Head Over Heels, Hughie, Indecent (Tony nomination), The Inheritance (Tony Award), and Once Upon a One More Time. Tours: An American in Paris, Dreamgirls, Peter and the Starcatcher. West End: An American in Paris (Olivier nomination), Academy Award winner Florian Zeller's The Son. Julie is a Tony voter, a member of The Broadway League, and is on the Theatre Committee at New York Public Library for the Performing Arts. Through her company Boardman Productions she has has worked with some of the world’s leading brands including Nike, Maybelline, Evian, Vogue, Victoria’s Secret, Microsoft, Diet Coke, VitaminWater, Samsung, "Game of Thrones", Disney’s The Lion King and many more on their activations and fan experiences. With over 14 years working in experiential and promotional marketing, she is thrilled to combine all of her talents to create The Museum of Broadway.

My experience spans from 15+ years in this great industry starting with a London-based company called Litelogic creating LED display tech, but I earned my stripes and industry passion via NanoLumens. After few years leading Retail efforts for NanoLumens I moved to NYC to focus on consumer engagement solutions for retail brands with thebigspace. I joined Diversified’s Digital Media Group in 2015 and now lead Business Development efforts for Planar in the NY Metro area. I was also honored to be a Board Member of the Digital Signage Federation.
Jared Stabiner (Senior Strategy Consultant at Next/Now)

Hailing from Chicago, Jared has nearly a decade of experience in next-gen tech & innovation experience design. He is a Senior Strategy Consultant at Next/Now, staying at the forefront and front lines of experience design trends - educating audiences on the art of the possible, spearheading proposals and projects as well as leading the partnership program consisting of hardware manufacturers, A/V, architects and more across the design/build ecosystem. Next/Now is a process-driven innovation agency specializing in experience design for visionary leaders intent on meaningfully shaping the future. In his nearly 6 years with the studios, he helped evolve the direction towards the permanent experience world, as the teams take on projects ranging from larger than life LED volumes to innovation lab, EBC and entire spaces within corporate, themed entertainment, commercial real estate, retail and more. Recent clients include the likes of United Airlines, Samsung, Chicago Cubs, Colorado Rockies, Whirlpool, Smithsonian Institute and Cushman & Wakefield. Jared graduated from the University of Pittsburgh with a Bachelors in Marketing.

Experience first hand G&A's new lab space which is an environment rooted in testing and experimentation. After a few years of determining how a studio could model the practice of physical and digital immersive integration, G&A believes that they have landed on a combination of conditions that best suits their creative process.

The lab is an open forum, nothing is too buttoned up, or too dressed down, the fusion of tech and design for G&A happens at all levels of fidelity. As a part of their expanding Northeast footprint, the lab will continue to grow with G&A, as a proper reflection of both expertise and intent to push the combination of design and story forward into the future.

As Global SVP, Growth, Morgan Rottinghaus leads G&A’s business development and marketing strategies, working with all team members and executive leadership in the strategy and execution of G&A’s growth initiatives. Prior to her time at G&A, Morgan spent the last 10 years at Electrosonic, creating the strategy, vision, and mission for Electrosonic’s Strategic Partnership business on a global platform. This included collaborating with their sales, design, and executive leaders as well as mentoring and guiding their strategic partnership managers to revitalize existing partnerships while creating new ones in the overall partner ecosystem of a project. She has a long history in the business development community and has been very involved in several associations, including as a board member of the Themed Entertainment Association.

Brand Director Josh Gallagher has nearly a decade's worth of experience in visual and communication design. Having worked in large scale signage and wayfinding, information design and packaging before transitioning into designing for a digital experiential focus, Josh brings a myriad of visual skills to the table. Josh contributes to driving the design direction of projects as well as the G&A office as a whole.
